This page explains which personal data is processed when you use Calcoid, why it is processed, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The short version: the numbers you type into calculators never leave your device,we do not use a separate web analytics service, and personalized advertising only happens if you consent to it.

Hosting and server logs
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a service provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, Cloudflare processes the technical data your browser sends: your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, the page requested, and the date and time of the request. This data is required to deliver the site, keep it stable, and defend it against attacks.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the reliable and secure delivery of the site. Cloudflare may process data in the United States. It is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and its Data Processing Addendum incorporates Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
What you enter into calculators
Every calculator computes locally in your browser. The values you enter are never sent to our servers or stored on them. They stay on your device.
Cookies and local storage
Calcoid itself sets no cookies. To make the site behave consistently, we keep a small amount of data in your browser's local storage: your preferred unit system (imperial or metric) and the last values you entered into individual calculators, so a tool looks the same when you return. This storage is strictly functional and requested by you, so no consent is required for it under Section 25 (2) No. 2 of the German TDDDG. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Advertising and consent management use their own cookies and storage. Those are covered in the Google AdSense and consent management sections below and are only used as described there.
Web analytics
We do not use a separate web analytics service on the Cloudflare-hosted version of Calcoid. Cloudflare still processes the technical request data described above to deliver and protect the site, but we do not use a separate analytics tool to build visitor profiles or measure individual browsing activity.
Google AdSense
We show ads through Google AdSense to fund the site. The service is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, may also be involved in the processing.
Data that may be processed
When ads are shown, Google may process your IP address, approximate location, device and browser information, the pages you visit and when, your interactions with ads, and cookie IDs or other advertising identifiers.
Cookies and advertising IDs
For personalized advertising, Google sets cookies on this domain (for example __gads and __gpi) and on its own domains such as google.com and doubleclick.net (for example IDE and NID). These cookies let Google recognize your browser across sites and build interest-based profiles for ad selection, frequency capping, and measurement.
Legal basis
Personalized advertising, and any storing of or access to advertising cookies on your device, happens only with your consent: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TDDDG. You give or refuse this consent through the consent banner described below, and you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future via . Where ads are served without personalization, the processing strictly necessary to deliver ads, prevent fraud, and handle billing is based on our legitimate interest in funding the site, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Transfers to the United States
Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and Google additionally uses Standard Contractual Clauses to safeguard transfers.
Your choices
- Change or withdraw your consent any time via .
- Review or turn off ad personalization through Google's advertising privacy controls.
- Read how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Consent management
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, a consent banner asks for your choice before any advertising cookies are used. We use Google “Privacy & messaging” (formerly Funding Choices) for this, a consent management platform certified under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF) 2.2.
The platform stores your decision in your browser (for example in the FCCDCFcookie) so you are not asked again on every visit. Storing this decision is necessary to honor and prove your choice; the legal bases are Art. 6 (1) (c) and (f) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 7 (1) GDPR. You can reopen the banner and change your choice at any time via the “Privacy settings” link in the footer.
Email contact
If you email us, we process your email address and the content of your message to answer it. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your request relates to a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in answering inquiries. We delete the correspondence once it is no longer needed, unless legal retention duties apply.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15),
- have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16),
- have data erased (Art. 17),
- restrict processing (Art. 18),
- receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20),
- object to processing based on legitimate interests, for reasons arising from your particular situation (Art. 21), and
- withdraw any consent you have given, at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3)).
To exercise these rights, email hello@calcoid.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is: Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany. You may also contact the authority at your own place of residence.
For visitors in the United States
Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale or its sharing for targeted advertising. You can opt out of targeted advertising via or by emailing hello@calcoid.com.
